BRIEF: Participants sought for 2018 Veterans Day Parade

July 07--Officials are accepting applications to participants in this year's Veterans Day Parade in downtown Fayetteville.

The annual celebration will follow a familiar route down Hay Street, from Bragg Boulevard to Cool Spring Street. In past years, the parade has involved more than 100 participants, including military units and vehicles, veterans' organizations, JROTC cadets and marching bands.

The parade is organized by the Cumberland County Veterans Council, Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks & Recreation and the city of Fayetteville.

This year's event will start at 10 a.m. on Nov. 10.
