The Stewart-Marchman-Act Foundation will host the third annual Who is Jay? Mental Health Symposium from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 18, at the Ocean Center, 101 N. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach.

The symposium, titled High Impact: Exploring the Impact of Mental Illness on our Communities and the Positive Impact Individuals Can Have on the Issues, is open to the community

Registration is $55. Students are $25. National Alliance on Mental Illness members can attend for free.

Look Good, Feel Better Class

Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center will host a free Look Good Feel Better class from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, May 21, at the Cancer Institute, 224 Memorial Medical Parkway, Daytona Beach, for women who are undergoing cancer treatment.

Designed for women experiencing hair loss and skin changes from chemotherapy and radiation, this class teaches women beauty techniques to restore their appearance and self-image during cancer treatments.

Stroke support group

Halifax Health Medical Center will host a stroke support group from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, in Meeting Roof F at 303 N. Clyde Morris Blvd.

The free support group is for newly diagnosed stroke survivors, long-term stroke survivors and their caregivers.

The Ormond Beach Family YMCA Healthy Living Center and Halifax Health will host several activities at 500 Sterthaus Drive.

Breastfeeding support group will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesdays.

Overeaters Anonymous will meet at 10 a.m. Friday, May 18 and 25.

Mindfulness-based stress reduction will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, May 21.

Hear Well Live Well Lunch & Learn with Dr. Stacy O'Brien from Atlantic Hearing & Balance will meet at noon Wednesday, May 23.

Safe babies

Halifax Health will host Safest Baby on the Block from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 21, in France Tower Meeting Room G, 303 N. Clyde Morris Blvd., Daytona Beach.

The class is led by Kaylee Parker and Brittany Torrey, who are both Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians and Safe Baby Trainers.

Parkinson group meets

The Parkinson Association of Greater Daytona Beach will meet from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at the Health Department Conference Center at 1845 Holsonback Drive, Daytona Beach.

Psychologist Dr. JoEllen Salce Rogers will talk about "Separating Apathy from Depression in People with Parkinson's."
