PASSAGES: Senior Companion Program

The Senior Companion Program offers individual clients approximately 4 hours of weekly service in friendly visiting, companionship, light housekeeping, limited transportation and meal preparation.
Senior Companions are healthy older adults who help other adults live independently. The Senior Companion Program offers volunteers aged 60 and older the opportunity to serve frail and disabled adults, who are living in the community. Senior Companions have a limited income and receive a modest, tax-free stipend based on hours volunteered.
The Senior Companion Program is administered by PASSAGES with funding from the Corporation for National Community Service and California Department of Aging.
M-F: 9am-4pm. Answering machine after hours.
Client eligibility: Senior Companion services are available to frail elderly and adults with a functional disability. Volunteer eligibility: Volunteer opportunities are available for adults age 60+.
